Critical Reflection

 As I stated in my introductory email, my weakness is that I startle when speaking in front of people. Critical Thinking and Communicating module allowed me to express my thoughts and opinions verbally by answering questions in front of the class. Through the lessons, I have slowly gained confidence as I realized that I am just the same as others and that I should not feel bad about my weakness. As I was able to develop confidence in speaking through the lessons, I have somewhat achieved my objective but I know could have achieved my objective if I had spoken up more to test myself. This module provided me a stepping stone to learn more about myself and improve on other weaknesses when it comes to writing and speaking. To become better in writing and speaking, I observed and learned from my peers and lecturer in class and the previous blogs by other classes in the lecturer’s Blogspot page. Contribution to Research Project

1) I have done the minutes for the team by ensuring timely discussions and taking down each member’s ideas.  2) I have chosen to tackle a problem relating to PPE detection system for group’s vetting. In the end, we have chosen AI-powered PPE detection as our research problem.  3) I contributed by listing the smart drone’s features and existing AI and technologies for an AI-powered PPE detection system. I have researched through the internet and I was able to find relevant AI and technologies about AI-powered PPE detection system. I have done the same for smart drone’s features. 4) I am currently in the midst of generating possible benefits that the use of drones may bring for the company, Invigilo and to the consumers. I have simply input "Provide me some examples of available technology that uses AI in civil engineering field" in ChatGPT for a possible list of available AI technologies.  2) I was drawn to one of the AI applications which was provided by ChatGPT known as 'Real-Time PPE Detection with Computer Vision and AI' . 3) I prompted ChatGPT further on the technology's capabilities and limitations and its functions so that I can gain a quick sense of technology's effectiveness as to whether this is a good topic for me to touch on for thesis.
